Most grooming advice starts with something to buy. Method starts with what your beard and skin actually need, then suggests the fewest products that support it — and tells you why each one is there.
What goes into a suggestion
Four things decide what you see.
Your profile and goals
Beard length and texture, skin type, climate, and the outcome you said you want first.
What you already own
If a product on your shelf already covers a step, Method should use it instead of adding another purchase.
Sensitivities and allergies
Ingredients you told us to avoid are removed before ranking — not down-weighted, removed.
Your budget preference
Suggestions stay inside the price range you set. If nothing fits, Method says so instead of quietly going over.

What Method does and won't do.
- Fewest products that get the job done. A shorter routine you follow beats a longer one you skip.
- Steps come before products. Method tells you the habit first, then a product that fits it.
- Alternatives at more than one price point whenever the catalog allows it.
- Anything sponsored or affiliated is labeled on the card itself.
- No paid placement inside your personalized ranking. Money cannot move a product up your list.
- No suggesting a product for a condition that needs a clinician. Method points you to care instead.
- No hiding why. Every suggestion shows the reasons it matched you.
We make products too. Here's how we handle that.
- HelloCues products compete on the same criteria as everything else in the catalog.
- When a HelloCues product is shown for a beard concern, the card says HelloCues pick so you know who makes it.
- If a non-HelloCues product is the better fit for your profile, that's what you should see.
- You can hide a brand — including ours — and Method stops recommending it.
Safety comes before fit
Some things are never suggested.
- Method filters out products whose listed ingredients match your avoid list, and asks you to check the current label.
- Fragrance-free is treated as a hard requirement, not a preference, when you set it.
- Products you marked as irritating are left out of future suggestions.
- Method does not diagnose. Persistent pain, bleeding, spreading rashes, or hair loss get a referral, not a product.
Method is a grooming coach, not a medical service. It does not diagnose conditions or replace a dermatologist, barber, or physician.
Links, labels, and money
Some product links are affiliate links, which means HelloCues may earn a small commission if you buy. That never changes what Method recommends or the order you see it in — affiliate status is not part of ranking. Anything sponsored is labeled on the card. Outbound links carry a tag so we can see which recommendations were useful; we do not sell your information or share your profile with brands.
